Importing Datasets

This guide will help you understand how to import datasets from various sources into the platform, ensuring your data is ready for analysis and AI model training. Follow these steps to efficiently import your datasets.

Importing Datasets from Local Files

Supported Formats:

  • CSV
  • Excel (XLS, XLSX)
  • JSON
  • Text files

Steps:

  1. Access the Datasets Module:
    • Navigate to the Datasets section from the main dashboard.
  2. Upload Local Files:
    • Click on the "Import Dataset" button.
    • Select "Upload from Local" and choose the file format you wish to upload (e.g., CSV, Excel).
    • Click on the "Browse" button to locate the file on your computer.
    • Select the file and click "Open."
    • Provide a name and optional description for the dataset.
    • Click "Upload" to import the file into Kranium AI.
  3. Verify and Preview:
    • Once uploaded, you can preview the dataset to ensure it has been imported correctly.
    • Use the built-in tools to clean and preprocess the data as needed.

Importing Datasets from Databases

Supported Formats:

  • MySQL
  • PostgreSQL
  • SQL Server
  • Oracle
  • SQLite

Steps:

  1. Set Up Database Connection:
    • In the Datasets section, click on "Import Dataset."
    • Select "Import from Database."
    • Choose your database type and enter the connection details (host, port, database name, username, password).
  2. Query and Import Data:
    • Write a query to select the data you wish to import.
    • Click "Run Query" to retrieve the data.
    • Provide a name and optional description for the dataset.
    • Click "Import" to bring the dataset into Kranium AI.
  3. Verify and Preview:
    • Preview the imported dataset and make any necessary adjustments using the built-in tools.

Importing Datasets from Cloud Storage

Supported Formats:

  • Google Drive
  • Dropbox
  • AWS S3
  • Azure Blob Storage

Steps:

  1. Connect Cloud Storage Account:
    • In the Datasets section, click on "Import Dataset."
    • Select "Import from Cloud" and choose your cloud storage provider.
    • Authenticate and authorize Kranium AI to access your cloud storage account.
  2. Select and Import Files:
    • Navigate through your cloud storage and select the desired files.
    • Click "Import" to bring the dataset into Kranium AI.
    • Provide a name and optional description for the dataset.
    • Click "Upload" to complete the import process.
  3. Verify and Preview:
    • Preview the imported dataset and use the available tools to make any necessary adjustments.
